Would it be tacky to have buckets of beer and mini bottles of wine at our wedding instead of a bar?
To save money but not offend people with a cash bar, I thought of having tasteful looking buckets of ice with the beer and wine at the food table. Should I maybe have empty glasses available for pouring into or just cocktail napkins to hold around the bottles?
You know what I do not think its tacky but yyou will have people that think something is tacky or whatever but you will have people say wow that was nice. Really you should do whats your budget with out breaking your bank or parents bank account. If you do not want beer then do punch soda and water. Whatever you decide is going to work and its really a neat idea I think.l I think people taht want beer and wine would like it. They are not paying but have it and its right there. So sounds good to me,. As far as glasses sitting there You will have glasses somewhere even on the table. But if you have wine unless singles bottles you will have to. Thats so up to you napkins will work if it expensive to add glasses. If someone really wants a glasses they will ask whom ever is standing or incharge and they will probably just hand them one. Or have plastic ones that you can get cheaper. put ribbions on them. Congrats!!!!
