Why can beer be advertised on television but not cigarettes?
Before anyone chews my head off, I do know all about the health problems caused by cigarettes. However, beer is advertised on television non-stop during sporting events. While cigarettes cause long term health problems, I have never heard of someone smoking a pack and not being able to drive. However, people often do get loaded on beer and get behind the wheel and cause an accident.
Shouldn’t beer advertisements be banned from television for this reason?
Oh, so beer is not dangerous when those same teenagers get drunk and get behind the wheel of a car?
A drunk teen will kill himself/herself a lot faster than a pack a day habit. (not to mention innocent bystanders)
