Will beer hurt my dog?
I have a toy poodle that needs to be trimmed and every time we take the clippers she bites us and squeels and crys. When we go to cut her it takes 3 adults to hold her down. Once we had to literally strap her to a board and that even didnt help. We gave her some claming medicine and that did absolutly nothing. And so I thought that maybe beer might help to calm her down so she doesnt hurt herself. Its not like Im going to give it to her all the time, its just so that I can cut her. Should I give her some or is their another way? Also, we dont have the money to take her to the groomers so thats not really an option. Thanks.
best not to try. my cousin’s pomeranian had just a drink and she got drunk. couldnt even stand up. it’s good youre trying to find different ways to calm her, but it’s best not to. when i hold my pets down, i try snacks, like bread, turkey and stuff, to get their mind off it when they eat. try something like that before you start on beer
