i was wondering were is the best place in germany for shopping for souviners like chocolate,beer mugs,steins stuff like that ill be in germanyfor 3 days in a few months
Just bear in mind that beer steins aren’t typical of Germany even if many tourists think so. They are a south German thing – and have come to be considered typical of Germany because many US soldiers were stationed down south and then came home and thought what they had seen was typical for all of Germany.
So, to cut this short: If you’re in the south, fine, go to the city centre, the pedestrian precinct if there is one. You’ll find souvenir shops galore. If you’re going to Berlin, Or Hamburg, or Cologne or somewhere else that is not southern Germany, forget about the steins and take the time to find out what is typical for the area you visited. Or just stick to the chocolates.
